Human Resources Administrator

 

Introduction:

Responsible for providing administrative support services, so that all Human Resources related administration such as staff files, leave records, contracts of employment, absenteeism, staff engagement forms, and training records are accurate and up to date at all times. This includes maintaining all records onto the payroll / hr information system.

 

 Key Performance Areas:

  1. Human Resources Administration_Manage staff files, Update the organogram, maintain HR information system, Manage the time and attendance system, Deal with all queries relating to the Provident Fund and Medical Aid, Prepare relevant reports
  2. Leave Management_Advise staff re leave balances and procedure, maintain system, and Resolve all leave queries.
  3. Recruitment, Selection, Induction and probation_ Provide a support service to managers in the recruitment of junior staff; i.e. briefing agencies and / or advertising, conducting initial screening, ensuring reference checks are done, facilitating assessments and making offers of employment, Assist with the induction of junior employees, Ensure probation is managed correctly
  4. Industrial / labour Relations: Draw up contracts, Prepare FTC schedule monthly and send to Managers & Directors for suggestion and approval, Make all the necessary arrangements for disciplinary and grievance hearings i.e. venue, arranging chairperson etc, Capture all disciplinary and grievance matters onto HR system.
  5. Performance Management_ Capture all job profiles and Performance Scorecards onto HR drive, Maintain performance appraisal calendar
  6. Legislative Compliance: OHSA, SD, EE: Provide administrative back-up for the Occupational Health and Safety, Capture all training records onto HR system, Source appropriate training courses as and maintain training records, Maintain EE records and assist with committee
  7. Terminations: Prepare exit forms for Payroll, Advise HRO on leave days for payment, Conduct exit interviews for junior level employees who leave, Prepare UI19 and certificate of service for terminated employees, Archive staff files.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Qualification: Degree / Diploma in Human Resources Management or equivalent
  • Experience: At least 2 years’ HR experience
  • Knowledge: Broad knowledge of current Human Resources Practices, Understanding the principles of People Dynamics
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Attributes: Attention to detail, Assertiveness, diplomacy, professionalism, enthusiasm and motivation
  • Own car and cell

 

Human Resource Consultant

 

Introduction:

We are looking for a Human Resources consultant to grow new business, sell NKR’s services and deliver said services by providing a generalist human resources consulting service to NKR’s clients in line with the relevant agreements, so that client requirements and billing targets are met. 

 

Key Performance Areas:

  1. Sales and marketing – Obtain referrals & leads via networking, sales calls, sales visits etc. Draft proposals, meet weekly billing targets and maintain weekly billing sheet and activity logs.
  2. HR Delivery to clients –
  1. Manage Key Accounts and Projects including off-site NKR staff & personal delivery for billing
  2. Deliver excellent client service in line with retainer agreements / project plans. The following services are included:
  • Starting Employment: Recruitment selection, induction and probation
  • During Employment: HR statutory compliance including: Basic Conditions Of Employment, Employment Equity, Skills Development, Occupational Health and Safety, Black Economic Empowerment, Employee relations and assistance Discipline / Labour Relations Act implementation, Performance management, Climate survey, HR Documentation: T & C’s, Policies, Rules & regulations etc
  • Ending Employment: Dismissal and termination
  1. Finances – Manage expenses within the budget and exceed turnover and profit targets; WSP & annual claims
  2. Strategic Planning – Improve and optimize HR processes and procedures; NKR templates & SOPs
  3. Research and development – Improve and optimize HR processes and procedures; NKR templates & SOPs
  4. Administration – Client File management: maintain client files, complete Work schedules and client Project plans, complete Time and activity Trackers

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Qualification: Degree / Diploma in Human Resources Management or equivalent
  • Experience: At least 2 years’ consulting and 5 years overall HR
  • Knowledge: LRA, BCEA, EE, BEE, SD, SDLA, OHS, UIF & HR Best Practice – Policies, Procedures, Practices
  • Attributes: Assertiveness, diplomacy, professionalism, enthusiasm and motivation
